How do you guys think this is going to do? Is it too soon?

It's been a while since they made the last one, But without the original "Peter Parker" I feel is not gonna be as good as people think. On a scale of 1-10 i give it a 6

I kinda grew up with the Toby McGuire films but looking back at them, they were a bit cheesy and the story line wasn't all that great. I think in this one, they're going to go into some detail about how it all started. Plus the Special Effects should be a bit better. I mean, it IS 2012 so I'm excited for it.

In this movie, they are following the actual comic book much closer, so more hardcore and dedicated fans will probably like it more than the average person, and I don't think that changing the actor portraying the main character is actually going to affect the movie that much...at all.
Look at "The Avengers", they changed the actor who played Banner in "The Incredible Hulk", people thought it would make the movie worse, yet the movie grossed and was the hugest hit of the year and nobody cared about it.

I don't think it's going to do better than the Toby Maguire films. Lot's of hype, but the guy could be a terrible actor. It's too soon to make a remake x.x

I hope they do the Lizard justice. I absolutely hated how they did Venom in Spiderman 3.

Haven't seen a Trailer for it yet, but I've always enjoyed Spiderman films, so this will be no exception.
