Just trying to work with texts, I got bored of placing them in the same places, so I've been thinking of different ways to place the text. Here's my first shot:

I love it Mau! Everything looks good.

I like the second one. She just looks a little dead because of the coloring, really gray-blue.

Oh, well in that case..it's a cool effect but can't read it that well.

The one in your sig is a lot better because there's a lot more going on in the background, but the text is placed to high, in my opinion. A tip I would give you on doing better with text would to pick a font that goes well with the flow of the render. I would also never use a stroke that dark (on such a light color), or red, the red stroke doesn't look good. I hope you progress and I look forward to seeing any of your future works, you're a lot better than some.
