lightsworns!
lightsworns are a long forgotten champions since 2010 they only won 1 national championship and it was the Turkish championship. new players mostly know lightsworns as a part of the highly successful auto-pilot decks such as chaos dragons or twilight.
but this archetype has a lot of potential if the player plays is it right.
lightsworns play style is self-milling. and with some support cards you can do a quick One turn kill and blow your opponent away. this deck also has a support card "judgment dragon" which has a massive role in this archetype with its awesome effect of a practical nuke to the field by paying 1000 life points.
another support cards for this deck are the famous lightray's with their ability of a quick special summon. it's a perfect match with the lightsworns mill effects .
Staples in the lightsworn deck would be :
Lumina,Lightsworn summoner: with an effect of discarding 1 card and special summoning 1 level 4 or lower lightsworn monster from the grave 2 of this card can swarm the field.
Solar recharge: this card allows you to draw 2 cards from your deck by discarding 1 lightsworn monster and milling 2 cards it also can be very helpful if you want to special summon a judgment dragon or a lightray.
Charge of the light brigade: this card allows you to search for a lightsworn monster with a level 4 or lower furthermore it allows you to mill 3 cards again a wonderful card for judgment dragon combo's
Honest: this card is a staple in each lightsworn deck because it allows attack support to almost every monster in that deck considering they all are light monsters and since it is light itself it can be easily retained from the graveyard by beckoning light
A nice combo of this deck would be a ryko and a threatening roar and a Celestia it would allow you to destroy 3 of your opponents cards in addition to milling 7 cards for your key monsters
also adding a couple of necrogardna's to your deck and a black luster soldier-envoy of the beginning it's still a lightsworn deck but why not add some brute force?!
Some non-used perfect support cards: sephylon, the ultimate time lord: this card is almost a perfect card for the lightsworns deck it has a massive attack of 4000 points which takes half of your opponent's life points with just 1 attack! also has an effect of special summoning 1 lvl 8 or higher fairy monster and making its attack 4000 but negating its effect so you took your opponent life points with just 1 card!
blasting the ruins: milling effects of lightsworns can be dangerous but siding this card can help you with a last-minute win this card allows you to take 3000 life points from your opponent if you have 30 or more cards in your graveyard if this card will work in any deck it will work in the lightsworns
guardian of order: this card's effect makes you able to special summon it if you have 2 or more light monsters on your field and with the lightsworns ability to swarm the field you will have no problem in pulling this 2500 attack beast out and whip your opponent's life points!
Perfect siding: a perfect siding of this deck would be royal oppression (helps with traps like skill drain light impersonating mirror and macro cosmos)
necrogardna's,Plaguespreader Zombie, chaos sorcerer,Gorz the Emissary of Darkness if you want to rapidly change the deck and add some more power cards
eclipse wyvern works well in pulling out your judgment dragon fastly in the case of adding chaos sorcerer
Weaknesses and how to get rid of it:
main weakness for this deck is skill drain or light-impersonating mirror but these are continuous traps so they can be easily get rid of by mystical space typhoon
Also a most common weakness is banishing cards like dimensional fissure and macro cosmos but you can destroy these cards by the effect of lyla which is switching it from attack to defense and destroying 1 spell/trap your opponent controls
