So, just recently a food chain that goes by the name of Chick-fil-A has taken a public stand against gay marriage when the President of the company, issued this statement,

"We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit," Cathy said in article published Monday by the Baptist Press. "We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that."

Their statement has sparked outrage in the LGBT community and outside but has also been supported with just as much encouragement. Due to this, there have been many threats to start boycotting the company and refusing to shop there any longer. Boycotting won't change someone mind though, when business starts to plummet, I wonder what will happen.

Personally, I don't know where I stand yet. I don't know how I can be mad at someone for standing up for what they believe in. They don't have the same views as me but that doesn't make them enemies. As long as they still treat people fairly and have respect.

I've been to their restaurant a few times because they just built one not too far from my area in Hollywood. There's no doubt that their food is delicious. I like how they use better oil and are very health-oriented. It's just funny that it's in Hollywood and this is going on right now lol. I think that particular one will be going out of business soon hahah.

It's not a preference. It's something they believe in, it's totally different.

As for the subject, I'm not sure what to say, but I personally think Homosexuals should have the freedom to do what they want. They're people, they have the rights all of us have. You can't go against something like gay marriage, because it would be unjust. It's like forcing a homosexual to become straight or live without a family for the rest of their life. I don't think any straight person would like to not be able to get married with the person they love.
Think about it, society.

Ya that's what i meant lol i used the wrong term of words

people can have there beliefs. but they should not force there beliefs upon other people. people should be free to act as they wish which goes both ways. people should have the right to gay marriage, and people who dont support it should have the right to say they dont. honestly i dont really care either way, because at least in north america the people are free to do and say what they wish within the laws set up by the governments.

Why shouldn't they be able to affiliate their restaurant with their religion?

religion can be a touchy subject. but in the case of this particular thread, u cannot get mad at the company here. true its an old way of thinking and that particular old way of thinking is a reason why we have debt and not personal jet packs. but there the owners, so they speak for the company. individual people in the company could have there own opinion but when its the companys opinion itself it comes from the owners of it who signs everyones paychecks.

Their fries are perfect.

Knowing that they're an anti-gay company, I would never visit one.

They originated in the South. Yah, I believe they're only in the U.S.

they made fun of this on CONAN recently. it was quite a funny segment. dont remember exactly what it was called but it was an intolerant chicken or something like that. i loled.
