The holiday season is wrapping up (no pun intended :3: ), but it seems that Konami has given the world a little christmas gift: they revealed new cards for the Harpie Lady archetype!Yes, they are new cards premiering in "Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy" expansion. For all the Harpie Lady fans out there (I know there are a lot of them) Here are the cards with their effects:

Harpie Channeler:
Att.: wind Lv: 4 ATK/DEF:1400/1300
effect:
You can discard 1 "Harpie" card, except "Harpie's Brother"; Special Summon 1 "Harpie" monster from your Deck, except "Harpie Channeler" or "Harpie's Brother". You can only use this effect of "Harpie Channeler" once per turn. If you control a Dragon-Type monster, this card's Level becomes 7. This card's name is treated as "Harpie Lady" while it is on the field or in the Graveyard.

Harpies Pet Mirage Dragon:
Att: wind Lv: 4 ATK/DEF: 2000/2500
effect:
Dragon/xyz/ effect
3 Level 4 Winged Beast-Type monsters
This card's effects can only be applied/resolved while it has Xyz Material. This card can attack your opponent directly. Your opponent cannot target "Harpie" monsters you control for an attack or card effect. During each of your End Phases: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card.

Hysteric Sign:
Continouous Spell Card
When this card resolves: Add 1 "Elegant Egotist" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. During the End Phase, if this card in your hand or on your side of the field was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard this turn: Add 3 "Harpie" cards with different names from your Deck to your hand, except "Harpie's Brother". You can only activate the effect of "Hysteric Sign" once per turn.

To be honest, i'm not really a fan, but the only reason I'm posting this is because this gives me a little bit of hope that someday, SOMEDAY, my toons will come back and be OP as f*** :@yep: . but all that aside, anyone wanna discuss these new cards? :3: :3:

I made a deck about them its pro :3 and dude i have the best toon deck in Dueling network it never lets your opponent summon and you keep attacking directly.

Really? Im running an Obelisk the Toon-mentor deck, but I'd love to see your toon deck!

Hieratic toons, Nuff said. Harpies didn't really need the support, this is just a bit much.

Yup, they got some new support. But that doesn't exactly make them too competitive. Nightaquila and I have been making harpie decks :DD

There's actually a debate going on I see on a few academies which is better: Gallies or Harpies? these days lol.

Really lol? anyway its not tht much of a revived archtype can still be stopped easily skill drain boom but you still have to find a way vs hunting ground _-_

Of course when I take a break from the game, Konami decides to troll me by bringing out some new support for my favorite archetype.

One thing the community was talking about was they needed a new and improved version of the Pet Dragon himself. Check that off the list and we also needed another card that said, "in the Graveyard", check and not to mention it's a Harpie spammer. This is fantastic so far. All we need is one more boss monster lv7 xyz.

Somebody finally knocked some sense into those damn people. Maybe they finally took the petition seriously and heard the fans cries for Harpie support. Bout' damn time.

Aw man, I love running Harpie decks if they add some more power to the archtype they can make a comeback

They didn't need any support to begin with, this only ruins everything. Before this, you had to run harpies in your own way (ninja, Blackwings, etc) but now everythings just going to end up being the same thing.

Harpies were terrible before they got the new stuffz T_T

harpies were an archtype to be run with their self now they can be played with harpies and more harpies.

Eh, I wish they weren't even classified into a "tier". I even wonder if the player base even know what Harpies are.

i love harpie ladies and am glad that they can now be used competitively.(thank goodness they are not tier 1 though)
