So, I was herp derping on the interwebs, surging around, looking at new cards, then all of a sudden, I see this thing! I thought it was fan made, or a joke, but then I found that it was legit! :ohsnap:
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Spellbook_Judgment_Day

Quick play spell

During the End Phase of the turn you activated this card, add "Spellbook" Spell Cards from your Deck to your hand, except "Spellbook Judgment Day", up to the number of Spell Cards activated this turn after this card resolved, then you can Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck, whose Level is less than or equal to the number of cards you added to your hand this way. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook Judgment Day" per turn.

In my opinion, this is the most broken spell I have ever seen for an archetype since Gateway of the six :umm: . The prophecy can easily abuse this, especially with the massive support they have :meanlook: . Anyways, discuss?

The card has been out for about 2 weeks now? Idk anyways Solemn Warning can stop it. Sadly that was knocked down, and with that at 2-3 in every deck (prophecy wise) the deck is now as broke as it gets. I can easily otk with I draw that and secrets in the same turn. Or just otk the turn after.

To broke~

Yah it comes out in tacion galaxy or whatever, literally you can go as much as like +9, +11 even with the damn thing. It makes the deck STUPID, in every way possible. You can play cards without consequence because it doesn't matter if ur stuff gets blown up, you replenish your hand at the ep anyway. Makes the deck super auto-pilot and derpy.

I'm guessing they'll practically be Tier 0 once this comes out, and I feel like it'll need an emergency ban mid-format lol.

The only thing I can see that can legitimately save you from this monstrosity is Droll and Lock Bird as a side deck option, so you can counter it at least in duel 2.

Weird thing about this card is that Warning can negate it, it's like FuFu.

Also 1 card doesn't make a deck tier 1, give it 2 YCS and we shall see is prophecy are tier 1.

Won' be tier 0.
The highest it can go is tier 1. The only threats the newest Prophecy builds have are Junon and Breaker. Sure they can refill on spells every turn but they have no protection at all. Mermails can rape Prophecy anytime. Just discard infantry and OTK, easy as that.

Sure, Prophecy got a very nice boost with Judgment, but that doesn't mean the deck will be tier 0.

Have you played against a good build? The deck runs itself and if Judgment day goes off it's pretty much GG.

Agreed actually, Mermails arte pretty fast and could **** on the deck, but running Tragoedia/battle fader can help Prophecy. Also, after using Judgment Day, they have a very strong defense against any deck really since Judgment loads your hand with Spellbook of Fate and Wisdom, which can stop Mermails from pushing for an OTK.

I think it's going to possibly be the best deck of the format, but you're right, not Tier 0 because it won't be unbeatable. Although it's going to have a very low lose rate because Priestess is so easy to spam and protect, make Big Eye, etc. It could get sacked tho if it doesn't draw into Trag/battle fader.

It won't be the best deck of the format either. For one reason. Consistency. The amount of dead draws when you don't draw a Judgment/Secrets is astonishing. Even if you do, and are matched up with Mermail, implying you main 2 Tragoedia and 1 Gorz, and don't draw any of them... you lose. As simple as that.

You keep refering this back to Mermails, what about other decks?

Pretty much any deck that can OTK is too fast for Prophecy. I keep referring to Mermail because it can OTK, steal your monsters, negate your effects AND get endles plusses out of it.
Also because it's tier 1, and I'm comparing Prophecy to see if it's worth the T1 title.

For each spell u get a spellbook, toon table + toon world = 4 spells from 1 card. It's the same reason people run upstarts in spellbooks.

Thats a good idea to abuse Judgment Day, but I couldn't find the room for things like that. I run 2 upstart goblin though, but there was no room for toon cards. I think the mind set you need to run the deck to its fullest is like DWs. round 1 is super fast and worrying about getting your combo off as quick as possible, then round 2 side in cards for what you think your opponent will side against you, plus siding in cards to stop OTKS (Trag, Battle Fader, Threatening Roar, etc.). It slows the deck down for round 2, but it allows a much more constant win rate because the deck is really easy to side against, and if you win first round, you may not be able to set up correctly and get comboes off if you go second since your opponent will probably have backrow and sided backrows specifically meant to kill your deck.
