the lightning is helping the render alot

Ooh, that's a nice signature you've got there. Very good if you say you started making sigs last week. Maybe it's just me but I can't find any good tutorials.

Something I did this evening. He's one of my favorite duel monsters. I kinda pictured him running through space and time.

I like it, but It doesn't have any depth. Join a GFX forum and download some better resources. Also, what website are you using for tuts?

I've joined about 3. I haven't found anything I really like. I keep seeing rounded and warped looking c4d's and I prefer jagged-edged looking effects. I use DeviantArt for pretty much everything. I'll look up tutorials on there and download my stuff from that site.

I wouldn't know how to properly add depth to this signature anyway. I know something's missing..I tried putting a c4d behind him but that just contradicted the galaxy stock. It perfectly shines diagonally with his body. Idk... :/

Looked up more tutorials on depth and they all mention blurring and sharpening to make the focal stand out more. So I added a blur layer to everything and erased over Magician, then sharpened him and erased everything I didn't want sharpened. I don't know if this made a difference.

It made a slight difference. There's a little more depth now, but it's nothing huge. Keep working on it, maybe add some "light" C4Ds over the render. See how it looks afterwards.

What do you mean by "light" c4d's? I'm a little hesitant to put anything on top of the render. The only thing I put on top of em' was a bit of the c4d at the bottom to blend his foot since it hits the border.

Just search light C4D on Google Images, you'll see what I mean. You could add some sparkle effects just like the one I added on the right of the render's head on my signature.

Try it out on Photoshop and see how it looks like, even if you're hesitant. It might look better than you think.

No it doesn't have a problem with that.

The render just needs to blend in the sig a little better.

Lol I tried replicating another signature done by someone...failed. I like this style much better than what I was doing. It looks simple enough but I can't even get it right...

Alright, well I can give you some advice.
That lighting in the back was made with a fractal and some natural lighting that was in the stock he/she used. Also, I noticed that you didn't shrink your c4d's small enough, if you shrink them a bit more, things would look a bit more chaotic instead of plain black. Do you have any good fractals?

I'm not sure. I probably do, I just don't know that it's a fractal.

You probably don't, good ones are very hard to come by.
